Well worth the $52 price tag. Mine deploys easily, and smoothly.
The pocket clip is pointy and bent upwards a little too much, so it pokes into my hand a little bit. There are some sharp edges on the g-10.
Otherwise, this is a great hard use/defense knife if you are good with D2 blade steel (best in dry climates).

This knife was my first purchase on White Mountain Knives. My knife came very quickly and I will purchase here again.
The knife design is great. I love the feel of the handle as well as the contour of the blade. When I tried opening it, I could barely do it. At first I thought I need to break it in, but after really working it over with two hands and putting some oil on the action it still wasn't any better. I realized I was faced with two options. Either ask for a return or exhange or open it up and try to fix the problem. Since it's a relatively inexpensive knife and I didn't want to pay for return shipping and go through the hassle of a return I elected to try to fix it. I'm a pretty handy guy with lots of tools. I educated myself on YouTube and opened it up. I took a Dremel to the detent that holds the blade closed and created a little ramp and put it back together. I took off very little material, knowing I could always take more off. The blade now opened nicely, problem solved. I want to mention that I have about 15 other flipper type knives from various manufacturers and the opening of this knife was much more difficult than any of my others. I think quality control by this manufacturer is lacking. Hopefully this was isolated to the knife I purchased, but this knife should've never made it to sales.
