The Hogue Deka is only deficient in one area and everyone knows about the scales that are too weak for continued use throughout the life of this superb knife. Everything else is stellar. As long as one buys this knife knowing that they will need to buy aftermarket scales or buys one when Hogue offers some better scales, then this knife deserves its' 5 star rating.

Great deal for a Magnacut blade. Grab some Original Goat scales and you won't regret it.

Really like my other variations of the Deka, so when I saw the new MAGNACUT version, I was all over it.

So, to start off, this version has thin flexible handles that feel cheap. But I guess they had to make cutbacks to bring us a Deka in the premium blade steel. And what a great premium steel it is.

lightweight, good action, nice grind, new steel, but the handles feels cheap, one of them is slightly warped on the clip side...

a bit surprising for a renowned manufacturer of gun grips.
