A nice combination of desirable features in an affordably priced knife. WMK's packing and shipping is top-notch.

Poorest QC i've ever seen in a knife. Unacceptable at this price.

Posted by Srdjan Iljic on 30th Jun 2022

Got excited to get this knife, since I really like the design and it has great steel at an affordable price. Man, did I get shafted...
There are several major issuse with it that should not have passed QC. Even the cheapest ganzo and srm knives I have never even came close to having this bad of an fit and finish.
First, the grind is horrendously uneven. Tip is a bit rounded off. The swedge grind line difference on two sides is over 6mm side to side.
Second, at one part the scales are not even ground completely to match the liners and stick up from the liners about 1mm. Of course that's a major hotspot.
Third, speaking about hotspots, the entire knife is very poorly chamfered and finished. It has sharp spots inside and out. Worst one being the finger rest in front of the flipper tab.
Fourth, the puny T6 pivot screw is welded shut with loctite, so it is practically impossible to open the knife, since they are too weak and strip (my bit actually broke off a piece). I question if even a T8 could open it.
This is by far the worst made knife I've ever held and I own a collection of over 40 cheap Chinese knives that are half the price of this or even less.
Would be one star, but the action is very good, gotta give 'em that.
Avoid SOG if you don't want to get dissapointed.

    Strong knife for every day

Compact knife from high-quality materials and excellent steel S35VN. Knife is sharp and maneuverable at work due to small sizes. In the hand sits perfectly, the handle does not slide when working. On the pocket sits deeply. I am satisfied with the knife.

    Great value!!!

Posted by Ian on 8th May 2021

After carrying, cutting and fidgeting with this knife for a day, I can definitely say that it's a keeper. It fits well in the hand and I believe it is an EXCELLENT value for the money.

    Pros:
Excellent materials - the G10 handles have probably one of the best CF laminates I have seen to date. The backspace is also full G10. The full steel liners are nicely skeletonized to reduce weight. The action is great due to bearing washers in the pivot. The blade steel is S35vn which in my opinion is one the most well rounded knife steels there is, and about close to perfect. The pocket clip is quite sturdy and I don't see it bending or snapping off anytime soon.
Fidgit Factor/Action - very good due to bearings in the pivot and 3 different opening methods, the most fun being the XR lock flick. Each one has a downside though, which I will address in the Cons below, so that is why it gets a 'good' rather than 'excellent'.
Ergos - fits well in the hand, no major hotspots, G10 is nicely rounded, flipper is designed so when open you choke up with confidence. Grip design and traction very good. There are some other issues however, which I will address below. Overall the ergos are good.
Value - Excellent. The price for this piece is basically the same across all sellers and I have to agree with the dozens of reviews I checked out before purchase - you get more than what you pay for.

    Cons:
Ergos - the jimping on this knife is just stupid. The back of the blade has overly aggressive jimping this is essentially a saw blade. (See photo of the tip on my finger below). Same for the flipper tab. I will absolutely be spending some time with a file knocking these down later. The thumb studs can be use to roll out the blade,, but flicking isn't going to happen most of the time due to them both being just a little too short to get the proper leverage. The tabs for the XR lock are well designed and easy to access on both sides, but like the jimping on other parts of the knife they are pretty aggressively textured and get uncomfortable while fidgeting. Another unfortunate situation is that the folded-over portion on the deep carry clip sticks out too far, so when trying to open the knife with the XR lock that piece of metal digs into the palm of the hand rather uncomfortably. Which brings me too...
Pocket Clip - while I appreciate the fully ambi design and how deep this knife carries due to the fold-over, the way the pocket clip grips the pants and rests against the traction cuts in the G10, it is a struggle to pull out. I see this causing damage to pant fabric over time, and God forbid if you need to get your blade out in a hurry for some reason.

Final impressions are this is a very good knife that will likely serve me quite well in the long run, and with the excellent materials and the SOG lifetime warranty I expect to be passing it on one day.
