I’ve been a fan of the Kizer Assassin knife. So, I knew I would like it’s bigger brother. That said, both knives offer quality construction, great blade steel, and a hassle free button lock mechanism. I’ve found both of these knives as fun to fidget as a Pro-tech Malibu.

That said, the distinctions I’ve found between this knife and it’s smaller twin hinge on (1) size, (2) blade heft, and (3) micarta texture. This knife is large enough to comfortably fit a large/XL hand while it’s smaller twin is better suited for small/medium hands. By fit, I’m referring to a full 4 finger grip since both knives could be comfortably used with alternate grips. Second, in my humble opinion. larger blades, such as this one, tend to deploy better due to the added weight involved. Finally, the micarta on this knife offers a little more grip given that it appears to be canvas micarta as opposed to the smoother linen micarta found on its smaller twin.

Would I recommend this knife to others? Without a doubt!! You can’t go wrong with either Kizer Assassin. Choice boils down to your individual edc/knife preferences.
