I purchased this knife for my nephew (starter knife) for the holidays. It appealed to me bc of the position and safety of the deployment. The added finger choil and jimping also give me confidence he will have no problem with handling and grip. Love all my Kizer knives…style, function, and quality. The Mini October is no exception minus one nitpick. Because the blade is smaller and a little lighter…or bc of the coated blade, idk? But Im easily able to fail the deployment most of the time out of the box. It may improve with time so take this for what its worth. Otherwise great smaller sized tool with awesome materials.

I think with kizer’s recent drop everyone is obsessed with the mini roach, for good reason too. It’s got a good design, but this knife really caught my eye. It’s something different, and carries like an absolute champ. Great price for the materials and quality, and I gotta say, Kizer is killing it with their micarta.
