The knife is as pictured. It locks tight without blade play in any direction. The detent is strong enough that it will not shake open. It "pops" open briskly with the use of the flipper tab with either "light switch" or "push button" manipulation. When the lock is moved away mine falls shut. For the money, it seems an excellent large EDC knife.

For the price you I can't complain. At all. The fir, the finish, the feel. . . This is a Fantastic knife for around $50. Just know this is a BIG knife coming in at 9 inches. Buy one. Now. Seriously.

I have knives in my collection from $30 to $300 in value, and this is the best value knife I own and one of my favorites. Detent is absolutely perfect, blade is huge, and just drops shut, partly I'm sure from the weight. It's also in 14C28N which IMO is a great budget steel.

It's big and it's bold and it feels just like a premium knife. 14C28N is a great budget steel. It'll take an incredible edge and it's both stainless and tough--the toughest inexpensive steel out there. It has smooth and solid action. It has grippy G-10 scales and and a molded titanium pocket clip. AND IT'S UNDER $50!! Snap it up--We are living in the Knife Age!
