This is my first Sencut knife. I first handled it at Blade Show West, which put it on my radar. I can’t buy them all at once, so I waited until the time was right. I bought one for me and one for a good friend. I’ve read the stories about button stick, but neither of these had any issues. It ships with a nice microfiber cloth and a pretty good pouch. The knife arrived sharp, with a smooth crisp action, no wobble or play, tight lockup and definitely zero button stick. It’s a knife fidgeter’s dream. Are there nicer, more refined knives made with finer materials? Sure. Can any of those knives be found new around $40? Very few fit that bill. It’s a solid knife at a great price, and it’s hard to find fault with it.

What an awesome knife and value: excellent fit and finish, beautiful and useful blade shape, button lock (while showing a bit of lock stick) provides solid lock-up with no blade play in any direction, multiple opening options (slow thumb roll, thumb flick, middle finger flick, back flipper, and wrist flick while depressing the button), snappy action, and good ergonomics. The 9Cr18MoV blade steel exceeded my expectations and is comparable, in my admittedly unscientific testing, to VG-10 with a decent heat treat, in terms of attaining and keeping a very fine edge. The cutting edge, while not perfectly ground, is more even than that on many knives that I have used costing a lot more. The blade is centered well: seems to favor the clip side a bit but still leaves good clearance on that side. The G10 scales in my view could be a bit thinner and that would shave off a little weight, but that’s just a personal preference. In short, this is a remarkable cutting tool that is great to fidget with to boot. Sencut should be applauded for its leadership in delivering such a high value and well designed and executed product - one of many examples of the great value that Chinese companies still place on American consumers.

Really like this knife's blade shape so I was hoping that the reviewers were right in their glowing reviews - and so far, they seem to be spot-on. Fit & finish is very good, the blade is centered, and brother, it came sharp from the factory - seriously sharp. As opposed to some other button locks I've handled, the action/"detent" is tight with no sticking, slop or movement at all - making for a pretty snappy button lock. A whole lot of bang for the buck...

For the price and all other relatively incomparable factors, I like this more than my Malibu.
