Probably the best metal finishing of all of my knives, and the action is smooth and secure with complete lockup by the liner lock, the blade has a nice geometry for slicing and strength, i really like the jimping which is like a coin edge reminding me of some dive watch bezels. the wood grain has depth, reminding me of some of my favorite wood species to work with, the one thing I whish was better is the texture of the wood, it is over stabilized and feels like plastic and very slick, i imagine that's why the Vale has texturing on it's wood scales, maybe the wood texture will improve with wear
