Can’t beat this knife. Value, design, quality all 5 stars! Only time will tell how the 9cr18mov holds up. Came razor sharp out the box! Thanks WMK!

    Truly nice mid-price EDC

I'm really initially very impressed with this knife. I won't write a 5-star review for anything I haven't used and been totally pleased with for several years. The action is surprisingly nice and quality feels in hand well beyond most $40 knives. This feels good in hand, scales are G10 and feel just right, the knife carries nice and deep, the blade steel is okay, the blade shape is okay, overall construction is excellent, blade grind is 97% good- a little off in one place but more than acceptable, centering is almost spot on, knife cuts very nicely, came very sharp, and overall seems a great budget option. In fact, this WE Knife made Civivi may well offer the best balance between price and utility on the current market. For reference, although I have quite a few knives, my "regular-use" knives are the Ontario RAT 1 or 2, and the Kershaw Dividend with the plastic scales- all excellent value knives. I would recommend any of them. I do believe this knife may well replace those in my pocket for daily use. For many years I carried a Benchmade Osborne, now with my son-in-law a first responder who really appreciates the light weight with all the other stuff he has to carry. No, this knife is not as fine as that Benchmade, but it is only 25% of the cost. So, even if it is only half as good, it's still a relative bargain. I'm pretty hard on my daily knives and use them for all the usual tasks, including regular food prep. The steel on this Baklash may need some more frequent touch-ups than some other steels, but I'll see how it holds up. White Mountain Knives is a pleasure to deal with and I will be doing more business with them. We're in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic as I write this and this knife was shipped fast.
