Great Knife, but new model is better.

I like this knife. I prefer it to the Bugout, but Benchmade yave an Aluminum handled version in M4 that fixes my concerns. CPM 3V has amazing potential, but Benchmade didn't take full advantage of it. Too soft compared to other 3V knives I have owned.

    Better than Reputation

Posted by Thomas Hoffman on 29th Aug 2019

I really love this bad boy. I was super excited when it was revealed and I waited not so patiently for WMK to get her in stock. CMP-3V is my favorite steel, but you almost never see it on folding knives. I have read a number of complaints about the Bailout, primarily the heat treatment of the steel. But I have not had any problems at all. I don't think this was meant to be a hard use tank of a knife. I like her much better than her little sister, the Bugout.
