I was late to the Bugout but this is an excellent knife. Thinner and slicier than the 940-1. I'm happier with it than I even expected. S90v is one of my favorite steels behind k390. This is going to be a great kayak camping knife.

I have the carbon scales Osborne 940 and sold my blue grivory handle buyout to get the carbon one. The Gregory was lighter but pinched my palm. The carbon bugout is as wide a handle as my 940 (.41”) and the inner edges of the scales don’t pinch when cutting boxes. Problem solved. The carbon bug out is still light enough for dress pants carry in a pocket for work at the office.
