    This Penguin can fly!

I am a sucker for a black coated blade with orange furniture, and any black and orange color schemed folder heightens my inclination to buy a folder that may have otherwise been overlooked or fell behind other prodpects to purchase. The blade and handle's shape also piqued my interest, and my Bestech buys have yet to disappoint. I bought 2 because if the price and color scheme, could not resist.
The blade geometry is very interesting, and shape lends to extreme versatility in use, grip, purpose and effectiveness. The G10 is beautiful, definitely a step ahead of a lot of other companies in fine detail and quality. The action on both was excellent and smooth as a Penguin, comfortable and easily opened and closed from different positions, pocket clip solid and does not interfere at all, well placed and secure, as is the generously sized lanyard hole. Ergonomics make so many grips meld with your hand. The shape and jimping of the blade in synergy with the handle allow excellent piercing or slicing potential and control, whether delicate, precision, forceful and at many angles, and allow you to comfortably choke up high, or attain range. The choil on the blade is not meant to accomadate a finger, but will allow contact without much worry about being bit, and assists your cutting or piercing depending on direction/grip. But in general it greatly assists in achieving deep slices with smooth and reliable start or finish. The belly and grind on this guy make it hard not to cut or slice whatever and however the user intends, and seemlessly blend into that spear point, which is always to point, and geometry and high swedge with flat grind and reinforcement of thickness behind the point makes for a pretty ingenious and serious penetrator, cutter or slicer, and whichever combination. If you want it to poke, cut or slice to or past the hilt or spine, no problem, and there are so many means of control, and proper fortification, it solid as Antarctic ice, and smooth as a penguin. Balanced very well, and while weight relieved, it's weight is always to the user's assistance. Lockup is solid and steel liners are fit and ground very well. Blade size is generous and potentiated by the geometry and ergonomics. An unsuspecting home run, and force to be reckoned with, excellent EDC and defensive blade, and shaving sharp out the box with great retention. When you get it in your hand, look it over and use it, it willl make sense, and draw appreciaton that a photo or unique shape could be underestimated by a curious or prospective buyer. Hope this adds some helpful perspective. As always, WMK service and speed are unmatched end refreshing!
