The Contact has a modified Wharncliffe blade that is typical of many Pinkerton designs. The blade edge is angled slightly upward from the line of the handle (Persian style), which may or may not suit everyone; however, build quality and materials are very good. The jimped outside edges of the handle probably give a good grip in some tactical positions, but I think they are mostly unnecessary. Thumb opening with the studs is definitely possible, but finding a good grip that keeps my fingers off the lock bar takes a bit more effort than with some knives. I use a reverse flick to open with the studs which works just fine. I like the knife but think the non-discounted price may be a bit high given the strong competition... that's why I use WMK!
