It is a great looking knife, quality is solid, action is smooth. Nice ergonomics in hand, and it is a full size knife. Scales are well shaped, and the lock articulates well. Now the downsides.....the thumb hole just does not work well for me. I have a true medium hand in gloves, and usually never have any problems with a knife to open it. With this though I have to be more intentional, and be careful not to let my thumb slip out. A thumbstud would really be better, so I am adding one of my own. The other item is the detent...it is pretty light. I can snap my wrist and the blade will fully open and lock. The blade won't fall open, but with a solid snap of the wrist that blade shoots open to fully locked. Nothing is a deal break, and I still really like the knife but you might want to think it over first. Still a great experience with White Mountain Knives though!
