a classic that deserves its place

Everyone loves the Sebenza. Everyone who is right handed, or the lefthanded users who are patient enough to wait for a left-handed Sebenza or smart enough to replace the thumb stud as a compromise. I know there are left-handed folk who must have a left-handed version of the Inkosi, but for me the regular Inkosi works perfectly fine in the left hand, both in the opening and in the grip.

Chris Reeve, his family, and his company deserve credit for their devotion to craftsmanship and quality. The Inkosi embodies that devotion. It is a one-for-all tool. A capable and reliable technological creation. Depending on the user, it is different things. For me, I expect this will be a prized item in a fairly new collection that will come out of the box to be held and marveled at, for a few weeks at least.

I do expect to use it. Most collectors, I have noticed, do not have a daily need for a robust knife like a Chris Reeve knife. This is a good thing, as it helps knifemakers stay in the black. For me, a knife is a convenient tool to have when I need to open up packages and boxes mostly. The world is getting dark though. I know there are people who are serious about getting prepped for disaster. I tend to be an optimist, but having something like an Inkosi, or two, makes me think that even if portenders of Armageddon are right, my metabolism, good knees, and a quality blade should get me to the point when the electricity comes back on, again. To the preppers, I say: Do you even own a Chris Reeve? I kid. Of course you do.
