    Great EDC

Worry every penny. My only gripe is the blue accents unless your custom order one. Not a fidget knife, built solid on washers with tight tolerances.

A perfect knife with one big flaw

Posted by Chris on 25th Dec 2020

Been collecting knives for about 4 years now, but have never pulled the trigger on a Sebenza. Always thought about it, but never did, thinking there's no way this knife could possibly live up to the hype or be worth it's price tag. Well, after finally getting one I've discovered that it indeed does live up to the hype, and is worth it's sticker price, with one MAJOR drawback: the thumb stud. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why with the 31 they didn't upgrade the thumb stud. It is literally a pain to use. If they had just used something normal like what WE, or Kizer, or Cold Steel, or Benchmade, or any other knife company uses for run-of-the-mill thumb studs this knife would be basically perfect, but they just had to go and use a small, pointy thumb stud that feels like it's digging deeply into your thumb every time you use the knife. The worst part about it is that it's interference fit into the blade, not threaded like most others, so you don't even have the option to replace it!

So close to perfect, yet still so far away. Hopefully someday CRK will get the word that most users really don't like their thumb studs and finally upgrade to something that doesn't destroy your thumb when used. When that day comes, I'll own a second Sebenza, but until then, I’ll be happy with my purchase of the Sebenza 31, but not elated.
