Yeah, this one’s a hottie. It’s my ninth Civivi and certainly the fanciest. Over the top. First…the scales…like micarta with flakes of carbon fiber and shavings of silver foil in a clear matrix. Very festive. Looks like they’ll hold up for maybe a thousand years, or so. The blade? I’m a fan of the black hand rubbed Damascus Civivi uses. I saw where one reviewer claimed it wasn’t real Damascus…what an idiot. It’s the real deal all right. All 110 layers. I’ve made knives for over 20 years and this is some if the nicest Damascus offered on a production knife…ever. And it’s SHARP. REALLY sharp. Other than above this little beauty has great action. Super smooth. Excellent detent. Nice EDC size. All shiny…no warts.

This is a nice piece, the damascus blade especially. But when I pulled it out of the box it already had a nasty crack on one of the carbon fiber scales. A shame.
