I found this to be a very interesting design. Whether it has been copied from some other knife or tool I have no idea. Nor do I know whether it would be legal in all jurisdictions. I do like the idea of a short "fixed blade" that collapses to a push dagger. The leather sheath keeps the tool tightly on your belt (and under a shirt if desired). If you've ever been poked by the handle of a fixed blade on your belt you can appreciate how this eliminates that problem. My copy requires a gentle push on the handle to make the transition to a fixed blade, and I like it that way as this doesn't make a lot of sense as a speedy open device. There is always a use for a short "fixed blade" and that's what I intend to use this for. Nice little conversation piece also!
