This is my first knife from CMB and it's not a brand likely to overwhelm my collection in the foreseeable future. While the design is very appealing and the material choices suggest a premium knife, there are some sizable flaws that drag it down. The pocket clip is a bit skimpy on the gap between the clip and the knife, leaving you to wedge the knife forcefully over your pocket hem or have half of the clip protruding out of your pocket. This knife arrived with the blue anodizing being a bit dark around the pivot area (both sides). It cleaned up a little with glass cleaner, but there is still a noticeable difference in the color/finish. The last knock is that after breaking the knife down to clean and oil it, I find there is a hair's difference between too loose and too tight on the pivot screw adjustment. I typically loosen the pivot so that I have some blade play and tighten just to the point that it goes away. Doing so with this knife still leaves it with the action still a bit stiff, almost gritty. Coated blades typically exhibit some extra friction, but this one ended up just feeling like it needs some significant time to break in the action. All added up, I'll certainly look much harder at what's available from Kansept, Bestech, QSP and others when looking to purchase a true premium knife rather than CMB.
