Like most of the better Cold Steel knives this is a solid knife. The materials and build are great. This is not the most fidget friendly knife, but it is a purpose knife that will get you through any task you would use a folding knife for, including hard use tasks. With all of my folders, it is a Cold Steel I would count on the most if I needed a solid folder. The Recon 1 fits great in the hand and performs as you would want a heavy use folder to perform.
