This knife has crazy smooth action for the price. The detention mine is fairly light. But it is most definitely “drop shut”

I own several Kubey knives and I'm thinking I'm going to have to get more! This knife was razor sharp, smooth and drop shut right out of the box, just like my other Kubey knives! For the price this is an amazing knife and its full size so not a tiny knife but not a pocket rock!

This was just as good as the black-coated Ruckus I picked up at the same time, with the exception of a somewhat scratchy action. You can feel the detent ball rubbing against the blasted finish on opening and closing. However, since Kubey uses a ceramic detent, this will wear in with use and become smooth as anything else. Otherwise fantastic. Great detent, ergonomics, and build quality.
