I am not a fan of Damascus or carbon fiber or busy patterns on knives, but I bought two of these. I have only a couple models of knives in my modest collection that were so good that I bought the exact same knife again.

It is the design language. The build quality and movement had to be excellent, of course, for me to go in on the second knife, but it is the design that first caught my eye and it is the design that continues to catch my eye every time I handle it.

Even though there are 3 separate design elements, they work well in concert. The scales' rose carbon fiber pattern pairs beautifully with the rose Damascus pattern. Brilliant idea to put these together. They are separated by a stunning bolster/collar. Some other Kansept knives have electric timascus filling up the entire scale, but I think it works much better in the smaller space, breaking up the circular patterns of the handle and blade in the Shikari.

I will find some journey to take this knife on, but for now, I'll just enjoy handling them inside. I am very happy with the purchase. Both of them.
