While I was disappointed after missing out on the first Kizer Begleiter XL run @ WMK, this addition to the line made the wait well worth it. The black washed blade/black micarta combo make it a classic. Adding the blade steel choice and fidget factor into the mix make it a must have for many knife collectors.
Although the knife sports a larger blade, the action is spot on. It deploys easily, retracts like a champ, and is well centered. For those who are unaccustomed to the action of this knife, I recommend getting used to its action before throwing caution to the wind. Given the nature of physics, different blade lengths/weights will produce varying blade actions. This will strike some as common sense, but the wide use of band aids within the community suggest common sense is not as widely available as some assume.
