I own a couple Kizer Towsers and I love the broad sheepsfoot silhouette of the knives. If you are familiar with the Towsers, do not expect the Mini Sheepdog to be the same size as the Mini Towser. The Mini Sheepdog is quite a bit smaller. For some reason, these knives always look bigger in the review videos.

That said, this is one fantastic knife. After the initial reaction to the diminutive size wore off, I saw how every thing was so nicely put together. From the beginning:

1. WMK gave me a prompt notification when this became available.
2. WMK sent it out quickly. The Priority Mail bubble-pack was snug around the cardboard box. Inside the cardboard box was the black Kizer box.
3. The black Kizer box, as you may have already seen in the videos, is nicer for this line. There is the customary sleeve over the box that opens up wardrobe or French-door style, and there is an envelope with the microfiber cloth over a crisp pouch containing the knife. It is a dressier presentation that tells me Kizer is treating this product line in elevated fashion.
4. The knife in the box is just as pictured. Everything centered, smooth, and quiet. The lock and detents buttoned down. There seems to have been extra quality control on this. I do not even see a bit of stray oil on the blade.

With a smaller knife, details really count. They got all the details right here. Every path that this knife took, from designer drafts, to factory, to the retailer service was simply excellent.

I will absolutely enjoy having this as part of my growing collection. Consider this knife as a present for someone who enjoys knives. It is not likely that the person would have very many knives of this shape and, especially, with these Fatcarbon scales. It is a small knife, but the blade is strong and there is enough steel there to be absolutely useful for many tasks. The smaller size makes it very pocket friendly, an advantage over the larger knives with the same proportions. If you have a friend or family member who is a Packers or Oregon Ducks fan, the green and yellow will warm their hearts.
