    Nicer than expected

I am a Cormorant nut. I have most of them and like to modify them. I did not think I would like this one quite as much as the others, being that I like the design of the first version the best.. very weird and punk.. fun! This seemed more contemporary in comparison which did not grab me at first. Also, personally, metal scales never appeal to me on any knife. Slippery.. just not a fun texture compared to Micarta or something.. and I sort of expected that here although the Blade steel kept me interested. 20CV, 204p and M390 are so close to the same.. they are the same lol. I was wrong about not liking the scales though.. with this texture.. and the finish they did on it as well (it is darker and more matt finished than the brightly lit pics make it seem. It is more gun metal)... It just feels so darn nice I am not sure I will even mod this one.. It feels like it belongs on the space ship in the first Aliens movie or something. That is how it feels for me anyway. It has more weight which I actually like. Just feels more classy compared to the other models, which are pure fun IMO. It runs perfect.. and because of that ... I don't know what to do with myself lol... I always tear stuff down to fix and mod "something"... Usually a first mod is to increase the detent.. but this one is already at the sweet spot. Not too light. A hair of lock stick which I also prefer on a knife like this. If it is too smooth then it loosens the blade a hair if you brush against the button during use. So far it is just perfect. It would make a fantastic gift... but I won't be letting this one go. It really feels like a forever knife.. I really didn't expect to love it this much. The only thing it needed was a sharpening to get it up to hair popping standards.. and I prefer it that way. A knife coming sharp is the absolute last thing I care about. Who are these people that care about hat? Do they buy a new knife every time theirs dulls because they can't sharpen? It is a mystery to me. I am happy Kizer used resources on other things. The belt clip for instance.. fantastic. And I really like the things this company is doing. I can't imagine someone not liking this knife.
