When I first got this knife I didn't like it. The action was gritty and it had no sharpness. After a cleaning and a couple sharpenings it has shaped up to be a good knife. Been carrying every day this week and it's a wonderful EDC choice. A real menace to cardboard. This steel seems to really like the strop also and responds well for edge maintenance.

Long-time Kizer fan here. Sadly I've not had much luck with Kizer knives lately. This one is just so-so. Out of the box extremely bad action. Very sticky, rough, and gritty. The factory edge was more butter knife sharp. The tip was blunt. In an effort to clean it I found out Kizer is using a very strong threadlocker now on the pivot. Finally busted it loose but be aware of that too. I sharpened it and found it will not take a toothy edge either. Polished is the only way this one will take a edge. Yeah not a good sample here.
