As always, great service from WMK! However, the Tityus I received was one of the worst budget knives I’ve ever bought (and I own 75 of them).
The detent was so light the blade would fly open with just a light flick. There was no need to even use the flipper tab. But even worse was the steel. It’s advertised as D2. And if it truly is, it’s the worse heat treat I’ve ever seen. I’ve sharpened knives for over 40 years and this was hands down the softest steel I’ve ever sharpened. It’s so soft a burr wouldn’t form- kind of like like those cheap gas station knives that just say “Stainless.”
Lastly, there was a difference in the thickness behind the edge of .40”. I’ve never seen a heel as thick as the Tityus, and the tip thickness was an absolute joke.
I contacted Kubey because of my frustration and their customer service was great. They informed me they’d send me a new replacement immediately. But instead of receiving a new Tityus, they accidentally sent me the Kubey Raven, which also had such a light detent the blade would open without using the flipper tab. They also forgot to sharpen it before it left the factory. It was similar to a butter knife.
In the past I’ve had good success with Kubey, so IDK what has happened to their quality control recently. They again apologized and promised to send me a Tityus straight from their manufacturing plant in China (whatever that means), but to expect a 3 week wait. Very displeased with Kubey right now.

This is the first knife in my collection that I can't find a single nitpick. The detent is perfect for all deployment methods, screws are T8 all around, lockbar is super comfy, detent goes past tang immediately upon unlock, great edge and geometry, excellent flipper tab....it was love at first flip.

Get one. Just do it and thank me later.
