Another great knife from Kubey.
Great action out of the box, able to front flip, thumb, and reverse flick open with ease.
The blade geometry is solid for doing any appropriate work with this knife and the deployment cutouts work great for getting sufficient contact for thumb and reverse flick one-hand openings.
Jimping on the front flip tab is sufficient without being too aggressive, and the jimping is comfortable and generous when the blade is locked for secure thumb contact
The G10 handle is contoured and feels smooth but still find good grip.
I can get a somewhat comfortable 4-finger hammer and reverse grip.
I deducted a star for this blade being JUST under 3" at 2.99".
If you're in a jurisdiction that has max 3" blade to carry concealed, then I suggest having a bit more leeway in case someone on the law enforcement side wants to make your day bad by denying the sub-3" blade on this knife.
I prefer something at least 0.1" under 3" (like the Kubey Wolverine, Kubey Campe, or Ferrus Forge Zelex) to be sure if that's a hard sub-3" requirement for you.
All-in-all a great sub-3" knife that punches well above its price and size.
Recommended.
Great build quality. The G10 has a soft grippy feel, I really like it. Good ergos, feels really good in my hand. The blade shape is great for EDC and is sharp out of the box. Reverse flick is my favorite way to open a knife. I wouldn’t say it’s hard to do on this knife, but if the cut out was a little bigger it would be way better. I do enjoy a good front flipper- my favorite is the Sencut Bronte, the rounded front flipper is THE BEST. For this knife it’s a little difficult. Could be that my detent is just a little too strong. If that front flipper worked better I would have given it 5 stars. And it could be that I just didn’t find the right thumb placement and technique yet. I would still recommend this knife.
