I've been a collector of knives for over 12 years and never purchased a Kubey brand knife. The 'Sylow' is an overall impressive knife design and the execution is excellent!

While 14C28N is not considered a premium grade of steel it holds it's own in function, ease of sharpening, and edge retention is good if the blade is not abused.

Regardless, for the money, this is a great choice and the materials and fabrication are top-notch. BTW... White Mountain Knives is a highly reputable dealer with probably the best prices, service, and discounts in the Internet Knife World!
