    Miguron Akri MGR-801WH

Miguron knocks another one out of the park with the Akri. In fact, I bought one about a year ago and I like it so much I just bought another one. Both have 14c28n blade steel, which is one of my favorite all around steels. The first one I bought has a black coated flat grind and the second one has a satin hollow ground blade. These are outstanding from flippers and they are very streamline with no big flipper tab or thumb studs protruding out or getting in the way while slicing.

    Akri

This is my second Miguron, and the company has surprised me with the quality of their knives. The Akri is a very stylish front flipper with a detent that is just right. It packs a 3.75" blade into a 4.5" handle and still protects your fingers from the tip. The knife feels sturdy but not heavy. The titanium clip is stiff and tends to catch thicker pocket material. The hollow-ground satin blade with its crested spine is a beauty and is the main reason I was attracted to the Akri. I was afraid the detent might be a little stiff, but opening should be easy for most users comfortable with top flippers. This is a very nice knife at a great price.
