Knife arrived quickly. The blade is centered and sharp out of the box. The scale pattern has a really nice topographical map look that blends really well with the blade, pocket clip, and hardware. The thumb studs are a bit of an odd design and remind me of 1920s style drawer pulls, but again, they're functional and fit the overall design. The action is smooth and locks in place confidently.

My two issues are first, the scales are smaller than the liners. I think this was a design decision but the fit and finish between the scales and the liners are not perfectly flush all of the way around the knife. The second issue is the jimping on the flipper tab is too aggressive. I find myself grabbing other options to fidget with that are less rough on the index finger.

Last item I'll mention is that you have to be careful pulling this out of your pocket quickly. The tip up design likes to open up and can surprise you. Overall, S35VN is awesome and the knife as a whole is a great value.
