Purchased 2 for my sons to teach them basic knife skills, purchased one more for myself after using it. D2 is an excellent steel choice here - the spine is beefy for the size of the blade so it can take a bit of abuse but takes a good edge and holds it on a very practical blade design. Good ergonomics, throws a shower of sparks with a ferro rod. Blade and scales fit/finish is good.
Sheath is decent. I recommend the micarta scales over the G10, simply more comfortable. This is my new backpacking knife.
