I have several Spyderco knives - Par 3 G10 - Sae 5 - Manix 2 G10 etc ... The FRN scales on this knife are fairly rigid so it feels solid in your grip unlike a Bugout which you can squeeze both sides of the open knife to where they are almost touching. The ball bearing axis lock has a strong detent but not as much as the G10 Manix 2. The opening and closing action is very smooth - what you can expect from Spyderco. The wire clip is OK but not really a deep carry still a far cry from some of the other poorly designed Spydie clips out there. I hate having to buy an aftermarket clip but I usually do anyway. Lots of jimping on the blade and finger choil for choking up. My first BD1N blade - sharp out of the box with an even grind - we'll see how it performs over time. Overall a pretty good value.

Full sized knife (about 8") at only 3 oz. BD1N steel is easy to sharpen and came razor sharp. Absolutely great for edc and ergonomics are fantastic. The caged ball bearing lock is strong and makes 1 handed opening and closing easy. The Manix series has been around for years and is well proven to be great user knives.
The best daily carry Spyderco because:
1. BD1 - good edge properties/easy to sharpen
2. Deep carry wire clip
3. Ball lock is strong and allows one-handed close
4. Very lightweight for its size
5. Excellent and secure grip with & without using finger choil
