    Sleek and sharp!

Posted by Tony Prince on 1st Mar 2022

Beautiful knife. Super slim! but still strong and solid. Great steel, and excellent blade geometry.

I hesitated for a while after reading bad reviews about the action. Mine wasn't so bad. Stiff at first, but then loosened up just fine. It's not a fidget champ or anything, but it snaps open great for me. (make sure you don't press on the lock bar)

The blade is not perfectly centered, but it doesn't effect the performance. Also, kinda wish it had 2 thumb studs.

Overall, I'm still very happy with this knife!

Good Knife - With a Caveat

Posted by Greg H. on 13th Jan 2019

Purchased this knife here. This a good quality knife at a good price. The materials are good, it's very thin in the pocket and just plain looks good.

However be aware that this knife cannot be flipped open by the thumb stud without great, great difficulty out of the box. The size and location of the thumb stud combined with the very strong detent make one handed deployment nearly impossible. I had read other reviews that said the same thing and wondered how bad can it be? They're right, it's that bad no matter where you grip it.

There is a fix. I disassembled the knife and lubed it, but more importantly sanded down the detent ball by at least 50%. Upon reassembly it flips open as it should with no change to the size or location of the stud, and the detent is still strong enough to serve its purpose and keep the blade closed.

My review would have been 5 stars out of the box had it not required this effort to repair it to the condition it shoud have had from the manufacturer. This downgrades it two stars.

I highly recommend this knife if you are willing to take the steps that I did. If you aren't willing or able to do this then understand that you will get a knife that will either require an aftermarket thumb stud or it will be a two-handed opener. If you're okay with that, then it's a good knife at a good price.
