This knife must have slipped through Quality Control

This solid built knife came sharp and after breaking in has smoothed out. The clip broke the first time I pulled it out of pocket. Very poorly designed. Sog is replacing it and White Mountain took care of a replacement which I am grateful for.

I really like the knife. Great quality for the price. I'm a pretty die hard Benchmade fan but wanted to try a decent flipper that wasn't too expensive. The Terminus XR fit the bill. Saw some reviews saying the jimping on the flipper tab gave them small cuts. Not the case, I think they just need to toughen up their lotioned hands! The jimping on the top of the blade is nice also. D2 is a great using steel in my opinion and the stonewash finish looks great. I like the "axis" type lock a lot and the textured ramp is easy to actuate even with wet hands. The G10 scales are great. Grippy without being to overly agressive. A couple things I didn't totally care for but that wouldn't keep me from buying it again are; the pocket clip is terrible! The location and design leave a lot to be desired. How it turns up near the end can cause a hot spot. I was just going to remove it but since the screw is secured by the clip itself I had to cut the little tab thats tapped and put it back in so the screw wasn't just missing. This knife isn't the easiest to deploy via the thumb stud, the stud itself is nice but the location is less than ideal. Overall I think it's a great bit of kit and inexpensive enough to throw a couple in different vehicles or bags but nice and tough enough to actually use. Overall the SOG Terminus XR G10 is a definate win. I will be buying more in the future. Thank you.
