Outstanding! SRM never fails to impress me. Fit & finish is good, so is the quality of materials and blade coating. I’m very impressed with SRM’s version of the AXIS lock, it’s very secure and not overly stiff. I oiled the pivot and I’ve worked the action probably 100 times the first couple days I had it. It’s very smooth, though I don’t think it’s on ball bearings. Sometimes bushings are better suited for the axis type lock in my opinion.

Saw this via the WMK email blasts. Bought this one and a 9202. Both are smooth as summer butter. The action on the 7228L was better than the 9202 out of the box but a little oil in the pivot really made the action unbelievable. Paper slicing sharp out of the box. If you're not signed up to get the WMK fliers in your email - you should be. This site seems to be way ahead of the competition when it comes to great finds like SRM, Ruike and Kubey.
