I own a Viper Vale as well as a Viper Moon and they are both great knives but they both have a similar issue with their design. Both the Vale and the Moon have a deep pocket clip which if used will put the user at risk of getting his/her finger cut because the tip of the blade is not covered and is directly behind the pocket clip. It should be mentioned that Vale itself has fairly small flipper action with no assist so unless you flick your wrist when engaging it you will get sore fingers with repeated use. However, it is an excellently built product with an elegant design and overall look. I’ll be using the lanyard hole instead of the pocket clip and I won’t be surprised if it outlasts me.
