This knife exceeded my expectations. I've had the regular KI-V for awhile now and liked the idea of a bigger locking version, but this has become one of my smoothest and easiest to deploy front flippers. I normally have a hard time opening front flippers with my index finger but this is also easy to index flip. It is also drop shutty. This knife is a prime example of why Civivi is so great.

A bigger version of an older Ostap Hel design. Fit and finish is typical of Civivi quality. Fits snuggly in the hand (I have what are considered smaller hands). Jimping present on the spine in two places. I believe it runs on caged bearings. Drop shuts.

Now my only reason for taking a star away is due to its deployment, while I'm normally good with front flipper knives, this one has been a bit tricky and I've had to give it a bit more a flick even after applying pivot oil.

Overall, I'm still satisfied with the knife and thoroughly enjoy the feel of it in my hands, and has most likely earned a place in my collection and/or daily rotation.
