This knife is magnificent. The alum makes it feel complete and perfectly balanced. Vosteed hit it out of the park with this one. So I immediately bought a black alum Racoon as well.

I have a few versions of the Raccoon and this aluminum exclusive version is by far my favorite. It has a good heft to it. The crossbar lock action is better than a certain company with a butterfly logo. I like nitro v steel as it can take a wicked thin edge. I took some time with mine and sharpened to a mirror polish and stropped through different grits up to 100k grit. It took a honestly insane edge. I hope that vosteed makes other aluminum versions because I really like aluminum scales on knives.

I am a very tactile person. I am very particular of how things feel to the touch and ergonomics. I already liked the Micarta Frag patterns Ergro's but the aluminum turns this thing into an item I just want to touch and use like a worry stone almost. Makes me want to buy more aluminum frag pattern items. Knife is sharp af.
