This design has been awesome. With this blade’s full flat grind on the tall blade it is super slicey, and the action is great!

The great: WMK service/price/shipping and the design of this Ahab model by Nick Rogers of Nitch Design. I love the wood handle, but it is quite slick/smooth and not as grippy as I'd have liked (though this is more of a gentleman's carry, slicer occasional user; not a daily beater). I need to use a bit of wrist english to flip it open reliably though it does open and close very smoothly. I'm on the fence about the AR-RPM9 steel: it sharpens and strops easily/quickly, but it does seem to lose its razor edge fairly quickly (this is now my 3rd knife in such steel so it seems like a characteristic of this steel, not a one-off quirk). Might buy again but in a different steel and with a grippier handle (that's how much I like the design itself).
