    Great Blade

The Artisan Cutlery Arroyo presents as a medium to high end knife but at a budget price. The upswept / Persian style blade has performed flawlessly for me and is deployed by a zero fail flipper tab. Artisan has figured out how to execute micarta scales (this holds true across their micarta offerings), the fit and finish of the scales are superb. The micarta is one of my favorite aspects of this knife, and this comes form an individual who isn't in love with micarta as a material. The deep carry pocket clip is truly 'deep carry' with a nice spring making it easy to deploy in and out of the pocket. The screws securing the pocket clip are recessed into the clip itself which will keep the damage to your pant's pocket at a minimum. As an additional nice touch, Artisan has softened all of the edges. The stainless steel liners, micarta scales, flipper tab, and liner lock have ben nicely chamfered making this knife a joy in the hand. I do not have a negative to say on this knife, it is well worth the price. So if you are looking for a solid knife design that looks and feels more expensive than it actually is, go for it!

    Olive Micarta Arroyo

The detent could be a little firmer, but everything else is well done. Tried the G-10 version and it's also nice, but doesn't have the feel of micarta. Jury's still out on the Artisan steel. If you're a fan of upswept blades, this is just the right size for pocket carry.

    Great knife!

Solid knife at an excellent price. Micarta is well done, grippy with no frayed edges. Smooth action, sharp blade, and nice size complete a well done knife. Would love to see polished Micarta make a comeback at some point though!
