This is my first Kansept, so I had no preconceived ideas. I like Ostap Hel’s designs a lot, they seem to focus paring away all unnecessary features leaving just an elegant utility. First off, I was blown away by the quality of the packaging - if a knife experience starts with the unboxing then Kansept have perfected it. This $40 knife was more enjoyable to open than knives @ 10x the price. Luckily, they didn’t stop there! The fit and finish of the knife and sheath are amazing, everything feels premium. The sheath is make or break and Kansept nailed it - nice clicky retention, perfect ergos for quick deployment, and the perfect clip for pocket carry. A small fixed blade inside my pocket with the handle protruding is a favorite edc carry for me - lightweight, reliable, intuitive and fast. There’re no steps involved, just reach down and the knife is in hand. The Hex does this very well, with the ring and good sheath making for a perfect grab and go. A razor sharp edge and a good grind makes the small blade extremely useful. Overall, it’s an amazingly good knife for $40 and if you’re thinking about it stop thinking and get one. Naturally, WMK is the absolute best place to buy it.
