This knife is definitely one of my favorite EDC knives. Love the action. Great size and heft. Deployment is a breeze. I highly recommend if you like your EDC on the larger rather than smaller side like me.
I was blown away by this knife. Sub $50 and amazing. For the price, its an absolute steal. Start with the scales. They used great micarta for a budget knife. Grippy, and feels and looks great. None of that plasticky feeling garbage Civivi uses. Bohler K110 steel. Basically D2 steel, but made by a great reputable company. No mystery Chinese D2 here. Recessed all the way around deep carry clip, left/right hand compatible. Comes with an extra set of black hardware, in case u wanna switch up the colors, or strip a screw. Fit/finish was great, nothing wrong, and nothing I could nitpick. Its a nice full size knife, and came screaming sharp out of the box. But, the best part by far is the action. It flies open so smoothly, and drops shut. Be it front flipping, or spydie flicking it using the awesome looking full length fullers, it rockets open. I have all kinds of knives, from budget blades, to full customs. This knife makes me happier to carry, then 90% of them. I couldn't be happier with it. There's a reason they're sold out. Don't wait to catch yourself a Petrified Fish Beluga!
With over 30 knives in my collection, the Beluga is an unexpected surprise in both looks and function. The blue micarta and sand blasted blade's matte finish go perfectly together. Love the "fat" handle and tall blade. The design is quite something. I could be happy with this as my ONLY knife. (Okay don't take away my Manix 2)
Action is unbelievable for this price range, honest about blade steel, and the slightly contoured handles feel good. After fixing 2 things this 100% rivals my Thumb Hole Standard size Kizer Sheepdog for fidget factor. Blade was wicked sharp, and full flat grind slices easily. The drawbacks is that there are a few sharp areas that creates some hot spots and one that actually cut me. The liner lock release chamfer actually cut me enough to bleed right out of box on my 4th close. Not a huge deal, it just took a few passes with 120 - 400-600 grit to make it feel nice, let's be honest here as a knife nut, if we love a knife enough to use all the time it's going to bite us anyways. The other spot is bit more tricky to fix (If you don't have the tools) as where the micarta terminates on bottom (blade side of handle) it's sharp and hurt after a few heavy cuts, did some work to soften it and it's very comfortable in hand. Once back in stock I am going to buy the other Micarta models as this knife is that good and yes there is always a few that slip through QC, we're all human and mistakes happen.
