Let's be honest, I wanted A Harpy. WMK had none in stock, so I went for it's bulkier, cheaper sister - the Byrd Crossbill, non serrated edge.

I was surprised by the size of the thing, and it's sturdiness. it's has a great feel to it, the handle sits well in your hand, and gripping is secure and effortless. The lock release can be tricky and require some force, but some oil and a few days of fidgeting with it sorted it out.

The thing came as sharp as shark's teeth OOB, which surprised me and cost me 2 new tears in a new jacket. Good thing I remembered my sewing lessons from elementary school... Also received a nasty cut from playing with it while driving. so, IT'S SHARP.

2 weeks afer receiving it, the HARPY was available again from WMK and I ordered it, but I am so happy to have the crossill as well, for those tasks where a workhorse is needed, rather that a pricier blade.
