Keep in mind it is very small, that's not the issue, it is so stiff my wife cannot open it one handed, nor can I. Other than that it opens easily enough holding the keys in one hand and pulling the blade out with the other. Blade came really sharp and all I did to it was smooth it out a bit on a diamond strop as it seemed a little toothy. I tested it by cutting some 10 oz (5/32) leather and it cut it quite easily, K390 in this thickness would make a great leather knife once you strop it to a mirror finish.
