Wish they made a lefty version

Posted by Unknown on 28th Dec 2022

Knife itself came almost perfect. Action was drop shut, but had a tiny bit of play, that dissapeared completely over time. Action was also grity (the detent to be precise) but a drop of oil fixed that.
Overall a great lightweight EDC that feels solid despite the weight.
Unfortunately the compression lock sucks for a lefthander, especially with the slippery rounded off handle edges. I tried to switch the pocket clip side, but it still did not feel secure enough in hand when closing.

    Highly recommendable

I’ve owned a para 3 lightweight before in the S90v model, but wasn’t impressed with its severe off centering and gritty action. I decided to give the LW a second chance and this time it actually came centered! After a few days of fidgeting it’s nudged slightly to the pocket clip side which doesn’t bother me. The action continues to smooth out and it has quick and light action while being fall shut. What I liked the most is the subtle stonewash that hides scratches better than it’s satin finish. I have the Sage 5 in CF as well and I can say that the para 3 is more fun to fidget while the Sage 5 has more glassy hydronic action.

    Spyderco para 3

I get it now. Held off on Spyderco for a while. This is a sweet knife. Light, well built. Wasn’t sure I would like the handle material but it is stronger than I thought it would be and the texture is extremely functional. This is my first knife with BD1N and it hones with ceramic easily. The hole is so much easier than studs. Compression lock is a good as advertised. Love it. White Mountain continues to impress as well.
