The Para 3 Lightweight has been around for awhile, so you probably have one already. This was my 4th. My first came with the standard BD1N steel. Perfectly fine for my needs. If you never handled one before, I would normally suggest that people purchase the standard model first to save the money on a first-time purchase, but this S90V version is not that much more expensive than the standard model. Awesome for people who love this version of the Para.

Why I like this particular model: You see a lot of reviewers making oblique cuts on paper, but this knife will take on paper from a perpendicular angle. Easy for a blade to have a few inches of ramp and swift motion to find a cutting path on a shallow stroke. It takes a sharp blade to drop through paper. This S90V blade does it. I never heard of S90V being able to sharpen well. Well, you get the sharp, here, along with the toughness and durability.

Small niggle: I noticed that the clip has stains, like the tarnishing you see on old paperclips. It would be nice if they glossed them up a bit. There is truth in advertising though. The clip looks dull in the photos, too.

Why I love the Para 3 Lightweight:
    1. It is indeed light. When you get the box in the mail, you wonder if there is a knife in there.
    2. Great in-hand ergonomics. The clip can be switched to the other side for lefties, but I like the added grip the clip provides in the left hand with the middle-finger flick and in-use grip.
    3. Blade feels big enough and the handle robust enough for most tasks.
    4. Easiest, for me, to open and close with one hand. I had other Para knives that were unpredictable with the close. I managed to even cut my finger at the knuckle trying to one-hand close a Para 2.

I thought these would sell out on the first day. They are sold out now, but get them on your notifications and on your wish list. WMK restocks regularly.
