    TS458-ELMAX

A heavy, robust knife with good ergonomics. I removed the comically ridiculous pocket clip. Don’t care for the finger choil on the blade, isn’t necessary on this heffer, and takes away valuable cutting edge. Twosun could have done away with the pocket clip and provided a leather case to carry the blade.

Lockup on mine is 10%. I would rather it be 20-30% for a heavy duty piece. Mostly like the TS458. The clip is the biggest issue here.

Option for a scale mounted clip would be nice

Twosun TS458-Elmax - Love the knife, hate the clip

I was determined to get this model because of the unique design and the Elmax steel. It's a full-size knife and has good deploy action with either the thumbstud or the flipper tab--both rocket the blade open. And it falls shut smoothly. It's comfortable to hold and has a usable spot to choke up on. But the clip seems like an afterthought, both in terms of effectiveness and design. It sits twisted on the lip of a pocket and doesn't allow the knife to sit naturally. Not a fan of this clip style at all. Plus, my copy had zero tension and would not hold the knife firmly in the pocket. This is a heavy knife and the clip needs a fair amount of tension to work properly. To make mine usable, I had to disassemble the knife and carefully bend the clip to give it tension. It's not a good design for the weight of the knife. The knife is really comfortable to hold and I'm happy to add it to the collection, but I wouldn't carry it clipped to a pocket. It's too bad the designer didn't use a tradional style clip as this knife would easily rate 5-stars.
